Thomas graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998. He did his internship and residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He commenced his specialty training in obstetrics & gynaecology in 2003. He spent the majority of his training in general gynaecology, general obstetrics & high risk obstetrics. This included busy public antenatal clinics and also managing labour wards of high risk centres such as the RBWH. His specialist skills include abdominal surgery, vaginal surgery, laparoscopy and ultrasound.
