DR ROLF WEISSENBERGER
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
- Born in South Africa of Swiss parentage.
- Went to University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg) and obtained his Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine.
- Obtained his membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the United Kingdom in 1976.
- Became a fellow of the Australian Gynaecological and Obstetrical Society in 1978.
- Obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1993.
- A fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology since its inception.
- Worked in South Africa, in Gloucester Royal Hospital (U.K.) and also extensively in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
- Extensive experience in treating fibroids, pelvic infection and infertility gained in South Africa.
- Immigrated to Australia in 1978.
- Obstetric and Gynaecological Consultant from 1978 – 2002 with a continuing interest in laparoscopic surgery, prolapse and incontinence.
- In 1999, he commenced his IVF training with Monash IVF Queensland. He has now joined City Fertility Centre because of its emphasis on quality care of patients who are infertile. He also feels quite strongly that the academic and clinical standards practised by City Fertility Centre cannot be equalled by any other IVF institution in Queensland.
- Has a very relaxed approach in his discussions with his patients and their partners. The husband/partner is viewed as an integral part of the infertility work-up and is encouraged to attend consultations when possible.
- Patients are investigated thoroughly in order to ascertain the cause/s and then treated appropriately. Dr Weissenberger will only prescribe treatment which is absolutely necessary and with the full consent and understanding of the patients involved. He will also give a frank assessment of what the risks and success rates of the various treatments are so the patient can make an informed decision about their treatment.

DR SHARON XIAN LI
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Sharon completed her medical degree in China in 1987. She subsequently moved to Australia where she gained her Australian qualifications becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2005. She undertook her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Logan Hospital and the Mater Mothers Hospital South Brisbane. During her training, Sharon developed a strong interest in fertility treatment and obtained her post graduate qualifications in reproductive technology at Monash University in Melbourne.
Fertility treatment has been a major component of her work since commencing private practice in 2005, particularly the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. Sharon has joined City Fertility Centre Southside due to its strong emphasis on quality patient care and its unparalleled assisted reproductive techniques.

DR PENG NG
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Dr Peng H. Ng MBBS (Qld), MRACOG, FRANZCOG graduated from University of Queensland in 1984 and completed his specialist training in Newcastle, NSW. During this time, he worked at the Lingard IVF Unit in Newcastle, where he developed a special interest in infertility and IVF. Dr Ng then spent two years working in St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth, England, where he gained further invaluable experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, infertility, assisted conception and general gynaecology. He set up a fetal External Cephalic Version (ECV) Clinic and started the practice of Laparoscopy-assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy and other advanced Laparoscopic surgery in the hospital.
Upon returning to Brisbane, Dr Ng worked at the Mater Hospital as a Senior Consultant for 10 years. He set up another fetal External Cephalic Version Clinic and a Cervical Dysplasia Clinic. He has been instrumental in training doctors at the Mater Hospital the best practice in cervical dyplasia treatment, advanced Laparoscopic surgery and in the safe practice of External Cephalic Version.
Dr Ng has extensive experience and interest in infertility. He has over 17 years of experience in IVF and related assisted conception practices. In Brisbane alone, he has run a successful IVF practice for more than 13 years.
Dr Ng is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Medical School of the University of Queensland. He has taught and trained hundreds of medical students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is a medical student examiner for the university.
Dr Ng was born in Malaysia and is fluent in speaking multiple languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Singling and Malay. He had been an advisor of the Taiwanese Women's League in Brisbane for a number of years. Dr Ng is dedicated and committed in providing quality assisted conception services, with the highest standard of care and compassion.

DR PETER FUNG
CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Dr Peter Fung studied at the University of QLD for his undergraduate medical degree then went on to specialize in O&G, obtaining his FRACOG fellowship in 1984. Peter has worked as part-time clinical lecturer at the Medical school of Queensland University, teaching medical students and junior doctors as well as registrars.
Peter has been a Specialist Gynecology Consultant at the Mater Hospital, the Princess Alexander Hospital, the QEII Hospital and the Redlands Hospital. Peter currently maintains a Gynaecology practice at Sunnybank Private Hospital with additional consulting services in Capalaba.
Peter has maintained an interest in fertility treatment since 1996 and maintains special interests in infertility treatment, laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, stress incontinence and prolapse surgery. In particular Peter is one of the few gynecologists at the Sunnybank Hospital that would perform reconstructive pelvic surgery using the latest mesh and sling devices.
These are minimally invasive operations which are now very effective in the treatment of moderate to severe utero-vaginal prolapse. |

DR M KHATREE

Dr Khatree graduated from the University of Natal in South Africa. Following Post Graduate training at King Edward Vlll Hospital, he commenced further training at Kings College Hospital in London. He then worked as a consultant and senior lecturer at the Medical school and subsequently worked for 15 years in private practice in South Africa. In 1997, he was appointed as Deputy Director of O & G at Logan Hospital and Senior Lecturer at University of Queensland.
In 2002 he commenced private practice at Sunnybank Private Hospital. He is also a VMO at Logan Hospital.
