Michelle brings a wealth of experience to individuals seeking fertility treatment and emotional support. She has been providing a compassionate and caring service to IVF patients since 2007. Michelle has a special interest in working with patients undergoing donor treatment and surrogacy arrangements as well as working with the LGBTI community and single women.

Michelle works primarily in:

  • Donor counselling

Michelle is a counsellor who graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (Psych) in 1983 and a Bachelor of Social Work in 1985. She has a master’s degree in counselling from Monash University (2008) and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association and a past member of the Donor Services Reference Group coordinated by the Victorian Assisted Reproductive Technology Association (VARTA) to implement the introduction of the amended Assisted Reproductive Treatment Act 2008 (VIC).

Over more than 30 years Michelle has gained significant counselling experience working in the fields of general adoption, inter-country adoption, adoption information, IVF counselling and donor linking. Her counselling draws on a number of therapeutic orientations including cognitive behavioural therapy and emotionally focused therapy.
