City Fertility Centre has expanded to the north-east of Adelaide, and is now serving patients from the North Eastern Community Hospital in Campbelltown.
Adelaide-based fertility specialist Dr Marcin Stankiewicz said City Fertility was delighted to be offering treatment from the North Eastern Community Hospital.
“The number of patients seeking fertility help through our other Adelaide clinics has steadily grown over the past few years, underpinning our decision to expand into the north-eastern suburbs and provide easier access for patients from this area,” Dr Stankiewicz said.
“The North Eastern Community Hospital is also very closely connected to the community, which fits with City Fertility Centre’s ethos of offering a personalised and caring approach to patients.”
Dr Stankiewicz, who holds a Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), the highest qualification available in Australia for a fertility specialist, said City Fertility offered patients a personalised approach and the full range of fertility services, including early fertility treatment options, IVF, fertility preservation, donor programs and support services.
He said current research showed that one in six couples experience fertility issues, but not all these required IVF.
“If a person is having difficulty falling pregnant, they are welcome to come in for a consultation,” Dr Stankiewicz said. “We consult closely with patients and provide pre-IVF treatments that may help them conceive – only about one-third of patients will require IVF.”
North Eastern Community Hospital is a non-profit, community-owned private hospital and nursing home facility at Campbelltown, 10km north-east of Adelaide. Its services include obstetrics, and so patients who have successful fertility treatment can continue to receive antenatal and obstetrics care at the hospital.
City Fertility is currently offering patients at the North Eastern Community Hospital clinic their first consultation bulk-billed (which means no out-of-pocket expense to patients).
City Fertility has grown rapidly since it began providing fertility services in South Australia more than three years ago and now has three specialists based at eight locations in and around Adelaide, including Henley Beach, Ashford, Kensington Park, Campbelltown and Goodwood.
