Dr Devini Ameratunga brings with her up-to-date knowledge and training in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. She is dedicated to ensuring her patients receive the best possible treatments and personalised service.

She graduated with first-class honours from the Australian National University in 2007 before beginning specialty training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. She completed her Master of Reproductive Medicine at the University of NSW and a fellowship year in advanced laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery in 2014 at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Dr Ameratunga completed her training at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital in Brisbane, where she is a part-time staff specialist, working in all areas of gynaecology and surgery, and high-risk pregnancy.
Dr Ameratunga’s passion for women’s health and continuing education can be seen in her many publications and presentations as well as involvement in teaching as a senior lecturer for the University of Queensland. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG) and is involved in teaching trainees and GPs for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr Ameratunga is happy to be involved in and manage all aspects of fertility care and general gynaecology, and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery to reduce pain and recovery time.
