Dr Melissa Oxlad offers a caring and non-judgmental service to individuals and couples desiring information and support in relation to reproductive health.

Melissa works primarily in:

  • Fertility counselling
  • Donor counselling
  • Psychological counselling (clinical and health)

Dr Oxlad is a Clinical and Health Psychologist who graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts. She then completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology) at the University of South Australia, Master of Psychology (Clinical and Health) at the University of Adelaide and a Doctor of Philosophy (Psychology) at Flinders University. She also undertook further training to complete a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr Oxlad has worked in a range of government and not-for-profit organisations providing psychological services to individuals and families with a range of physical and psychological health issues. She is passionate about assisting people with physical health problems to manage their health issues and to achieve optimal emotional well-being and about supporting people in relation to fertility.

Since 2008, Dr Oxlad has worked as a private practitioner in Adelaide. While she sees clients with a range of concerns, she specialises in reproductive health and fertility counselling. Also, in the area of reproductive health, Dr Oxlad conducts and publishes research related to fertility knowledge, assisted reproductive technologies, and pregnancy loss.
