Dr Julia Marshall

Dr Julia Laura Marshall is a highly accomplished General Practitioner and Public Health Physician who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a deep commitment to family medicine, she combines her clinical expertise in general practice with a specialised focus on maternal health, women’s health, and preventative medicine. Dr Marshall is passionate about empowering her patients to make informed decisions about their health, offering a reassuring and holistic approach to healthcare at every stage of life.

Dr Marshall graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne in 2007. She subsequently obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2011. Demonstrating a strong commitment to maternal care, she completed postgraduate training to become a Diplomate of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG), holds a certificate in sexual and reproductive health and is an antenatal shared care provider. Dr Marshall was also awarded an Academic Medal for her Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and has completed clinical work across the Northern Territory, Kenya, and Tanzania. She further advanced her academic credentials by earning a PhD from the University of Oxford, focusing on tuberculosis vaccine development.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Marshall is a prominent figure in translational medicine and vaccinology. She has contributed significantly to global health initiatives, including assisting with the development of major global vaccines. Her expertise in immunisation and mucosal immunology is further reflected in her appointment to key national advisory bodies, where she helps shape public health policies and immunisation strategies.
