Dr Kendra Hopper is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist providing comprehensive women’s health care in Toowoomba, with particular interests in obstetrics, fertility and IVF, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.
She understands that building a family rarely follows a perfect timeline. She provides personalised, evidence-based fertility care that recognises every patient’s unique circumstances, empowering them to make informed decisions with confidence. As both a fertility specialist and practising obstetrician and gynaecologist, she is passionate about supporting women throughout every stage of their reproductive lives. Her passion for fertility medicine began well before medical school during her undergraduate science degree, where a fascination with reproductive endocrinology inspired her to join the City Fertility team. Her early experience there fostered a deep appreciation for both the science of reproductive medicine and the privilege of helping patients achieve their dream of growing a family.
Dr Hopper holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and a Master of Women’s Health Medicine. She completed specialist training with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), complemented by advanced training in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Alongside her work with City Fertility, Dr Hopper also holds a clinical appointment as a Staff Specialist at Toowoomba Base Hospital, reflecting her ongoing commitment to providing high-quality care for women in regional Queensland.
Her clinical interests span fertility and IVF care, alongside minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, with a particular interest in endometriosis and other conditions that may affect fertility. As a practising obstetrician, Dr Hopper enjoys the unique privilege of supporting patients from the earliest stages of their fertility journey through to welcoming their baby, offering continuity of care whenever possible. She is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and tailoring treatment to their individual goals and circumstances.
Dr Hopper believes exceptional fertility care combines scientific excellence with genuine compassion. She understands that while medicine provides the science, every patient’s path to parenthood is shaped by their own hopes, circumstances and priorities. Her goal is to provide clear, evidence-based guidance in a supportive environment where every patient feels informed, heard and empowered from their first consultation onwards.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr Hopper enjoys travelling, spending time with her husband and four children, and the occasional fiercely competitive board game. A lifelong Star Wars fan, patients may spot a few fun nods to a galaxy far, far away throughout her clinic.
