Dr Lizzy Codde (pronounced Cody) is an empathetic and considered fertility specialist. A passionate obstetrician with a special interest in high-risk obstetrics, she completed her core training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, before undertaking advanced training at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Subiaco. Dr Codde went on to complete a nine-month fertility fellowship with Professor Roger Hart across KEMH and City Fertility (FSWA), alongside experience in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.
Having worked and volunteered in rural, remote and international settings — from Darwin to the Thai-Burmese border — Dr Codde brings a deep commitment to compassionate, culturally safe care to everything she does. She is a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and is passionate about supporting all individuals and couples through their fertility journey, walking alongside them with warmth and expertise as they navigate the path to parenthood. She brings empathy, honesty and clear communication to every consultation, ensuring her patients feel informed, supported and empowered in reaching their reproductive goals
Alongside her work at FSWA, Dr Codde is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital, where she supports junior medical officers with regular teaching, bringing an up-to-date perspective to her patient care. Understanding the emotional and physical demands fertility treatment can place on patients and their families, Dr Codde is committed to supporting them, and their loved ones, through every step of the way.

Dr Codde: “As a passionate obstetrician, I wanted to better understand the complete patient journey as I met them in labour ward so I could better support their care. Upon starting my fertility fellowship, I was captivated by the medicine and the part we can play as fertility specialists to support people to achieve their family goals.”

Dr Codde: “I understand fertility treatment can be overwhelming for ranges of reasons, including grieving that the path to parenthood is not as easy as you had hoped.
