Dr Martin Campbell is a dedicated specialist and Obstetrician-Gynaecologist who provides compassionate, individualised and evidence-based care to individuals and couples navigating their fertility journey.
Martin first fell in love with Australia in 2010, when he travelled from the United Kingdom to complete a medical elective in reproductive medicine. It was during this experience that he decided to pursue a career supporting fertility patients and resolved that, one day, he would return to Australia as a qualified specialist. After completing his specialist training in the United Kingdom, Martin moved to Australia with his family in 2023.
Martin graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2011. He completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2022. His training took him from Newcastle in North East England to Dundee in Scotland, where he held an academic and clinical position with the University of Dundee and Ninewells Hospital. During this time, he undertook research published in collaboration with the World Health Organisation and completed clinical training in fertility and reproductive health.
Martin believes patients should be treated with the same care, respect and communication that he would wish to receive himself. He takes a personalised and holistic approach, working collaboratively with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their individual circumstances, preferences and fertility goals.
Accessible healthcare and the support of a coordinated professional team are central to Martin’s approach. He is particularly committed to ensuring that people living in regional areas of New South Wales can access high-quality fertility services. Martin will provide fertility care in South West Sydney at Gregory Hills, alongside his work within the public hospital system at Goulburn Base Hospital.
Martin is committed to equitable and inclusive healthcare and welcomes patients through the City Fertility, First Step Fertility and Rainbow Fertility programs. He also brings profound personal empathy to his work, having experienced fertility treatment while creating his own family with his Husband through surrogacy in the United Kingdom. This lived experience informs his understanding of the emotional, practical and clinical complexities of building a family and reinforces his commitment to ensuring every patient feels heard, informed and supported.
