Year of the Tiger: babies expected to be courageous and active

Year of the Tiger: babies expected to be courageous and active

As we celebrate the Lunar New Year on 1 February we explore what to expect for those born in the Year of the Tiger.

The zodiac tiger sign is a symbol of strength, banishing evils, and braveness. Many children even wear hats or shoes with a tiger image on for good luck.

Babies born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Tiger are expected to be fiercely independent and courageous while possessing strong self-esteem. They are said to be mostly optimistic and enthusiastic and seem to be very active with endless energy. Luckily they have a cute and charming side as well and are loyal and trustworthy.

If you are hoping to have a baby this Lunar New Year, we are excited for you. Here are a few tips to help you get closer to your goal:

Stay nourished

Eating well is vital to ensuring you optimise your chances of conceiving. Being either overweight or underweight can make conception more difficult as it can cause hormonal imbalances. So, ensure you have a balanced diet that helps maintain a healthy body mass index (BMI).

Keep fit

To maintain a healthy body weight, try to find time for at least 30 minutes of mild to moderate exercise every day. There’s no need to overdo it – something as simple as going for a walk can make a big difference to your fitness.

Be aware of the fertility window

The days leading up to ovulation are the most fertile ones in a woman’s menstrual cycle. Learn how to track when you are ovulating here.

Seek help if needed

Of course, if you are concerned about your fertility or if you are over 35 and have been trying without success for at least six months or 12 months or under 35, it is wise to seek the help of your GP or a fertility specialist.

At City Fertility, our accredited fertility specialists aim to provide you with the right fertility advice to manage your fertility issues. Patients receive an individualised, comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment.

While infertility can be a worrying experience for you and your partner, the good news is that it can be treated.

Wishing you a happy Year of the Tiger, full of good luck!
