Dr Gary Brown

Dr Gary Brown is a talented and approachable fertility specialist, obstetrician and gynaecologist who is passionate about helping his patients achieve the best possible outcomes through exceptional patient care.

Dr Brown works primarily in:

• IVF and fertility care.
• Gynaecology.
• Obstetrics.

Dr Gary Brown obtained a degree in Science in 1990 majoring in Biochemistry and Microbiology and worked in medical research involving cell biology and cancer therapy. He then went on to obtain his medical degree at Sydney University in 2003. Dr Brown trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

He has been working for the last six years as a Staff Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Lismore Base Hospital having held the role of Clinical Director of the Women’s Care Unit for much of that time.

Dr Brown combines his knowledge and experience in managing all areas of fertility with his strong focus on giving his patients the best chance of achieving a healthy pregnancy. He is committed to supporting and guiding his patients through every step of their journey.

Dr Brown provides patients with the full range of fertility, pregnancy care and women’s health choices.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), Dr Brown provides general gynaecological services, which include management of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, menstrual disorders, laparoscopic surgery, fertility problems (infertility assessment and treatment), pelvic pain, abnormal pap smear, incontinence and menopause.

Dedicated to providing individualised patient treatment that exceeds expectations, Dr Brown prides himself on understanding and tailoring each and every patient’s treatment program to best suit their individual circumstances. He is committed to exceptional patient care and is passionate about empowering his patients to make sure they are informed to make the best decision with his guidance.

Dr Brown also handles all aspects of all LGBTI+ fertility treatments ranging from donor cycles (eggs, sperm and embryos) to surrogacy.
