Dr Rose McDonnell

Dr McDonnell feels honoured to be able to help those who wish to experience the joy of having a child.

Dr McDonnell works primarily in:

• Gynaecology.
• Obstetrics.

Dr Rose McDonnell is a dedicated gynaecologist and fertility specialist who is committed to delivering exceptional care to each and every one of her patients.

She is proud to offer all aspects of fertility care with a special interest in IVF and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

Dr Rose McDonnell’s career started as a Medical Scientist having majored in biochemistry, haematology and microbiology. She choose to pursue a career in medicine due to her interest in the patient story.

After completing her medical degree Dr McDonnell spent several years working in different areas of medicine until she began working at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Subiaco, where she commenced her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

She was grateful to have exposure to Reproductive Medicine early in her training, which culminated in several research projects with Professor Roger Hart and a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine. Following the completion of her obstetrics and gynaecology training, Dr McDonnell began an AGES Laparoscopic Gynaecology Fellowship at King Edward Memorial Hospital and completed her Masters in Reproductive Medicine.

Dr McDonnell is pleased to be able to offer evening clinics and Skype appointments at Fertility Specialists of WA, for those that may find it difficult to attend during the day or who work away.

Having had two children of her own she feels honoured to be able to help those who wish to experience the joy of having a child.
